Tug of War
Tug of War: Every Result Pulls the Rope
A head-to-head team game where every result pulls the rope towards one side.
Best for: Team versus team competition
LIVE ON THE BIG SCREENTug of War splits the floor into two sides and puts the contest on the big screen. As figures are updated, the marker moves towards the leading team's line, so everyone can see who is ahead without asking. The pull swings back and forth until one side takes it over the line.

How it plays
Tug of War in 4 steps
- 1
Choose the measure
Pick the measure the competition runs on and set the wording you use on the floor.
- 2
Split into two sides
Put your players into the two teams and rename each side to match the real teams.
- 3
Press play
The board goes up on the TV with both sides on the rope and the marker in the middle.
- 4
Update and watch it pull
Each result moves the marker, so the room sees the contest swing in real time.
You choose the measure
The manager sets the measure and the wording, then updates the figures from a phone. The board on the big screen moves as each result goes in, so nobody has to keep a leaderboard by hand.
Plays through to the finale
Once play starts, Tug of War runs as a complete animated sequence through to its finale, so the competition ends on something the floor watches together rather than fading out.
See Tug of War running
Watch the board play on screen, then set it up with your own measure.
